I stumbled upon Thomas Edison Charter Schools by chance in 2013 when looking for a teaching job, and I am so glad that I did. I taught History and English at TECS South for 5 years and loved it. I was impressed with the program because the school really put the students first. I enjoyed the positive atmosphere, and the faculty and administration were all very supportive. When my daughter was born, it was no longer possible for me to continue my work as a teacher, but I wanted to remain involved with the schools. I feel privileged to be able to serve on the Governing Board. I believe strongly in the school's rigorous academic program and in the Glenn Latham method of positive classroom management, and I am dedicated to seeing the schools' continued success.
